So I've finally been working on finishing our desk. I really don't fall in love with a piece until I finish it. Actually up until then I don't even know if I like it anymore. It definitely becomes a labor of love then. Anyways so I was putting on one of the many coats of poly on the top when "curse my long hair" my pony tail holder broke and the ends of my hair fell into the poly, Instead of rinsing it right out I came into the house and mommy problems distracted me and took priority. So when I finally remembered to wash it out it had been a while and it was stuck. I've washed it and washed it and it is stuck, It holds a curl really well now though- O well- hopefully it wears out. If not I guess my hair needed a trim anyways..

Impatient.
So on Sunday we usually go and visit at least one of the set of grandparents. So we weren't even close to leaving yet and Payton disappears. We're looking all over for him, when we finally look in the garage and there he is in the car buckled up all ready to go. Ya he's an impatient little sucker.

MIRROR, MIRROR, ON MY FLOOR!
So I use thumbtacks alot of the time to hang stuff up, ya I'm lazy- and they work decently. After 3 years the head of one of the thumbtacks hanging my mirror up broke so it was moved to the floor while I wait to find another solution. It's been a few days now and it is driving me nuts, it's went from not too high a priority to almost top of the list. Why you ask? Cuz' it's a torture mirror! Every time I walk down the hall I get to see my LEGS, just my LEGS, those being the biggest part of me, and the part I need to work alot on, it's torture over and over all day- I use this hall alot- Up and down look at those legs, I swear they're getting bigger every time I walk down the hall. So just a warning, to all you people thinking about putting a mirror on your floor, unless you have amazing legs that you just want to look at day in and day out don't do it. :)

Happy 5yr. Anniversary !
Wow! I can't believe it's been five years. They have passed so quickly, I feel so lucky and amazed to have you as my husband for eternity. So I wanted to tell you, and I guess the world, some things that I have learned about you in these five years that I love, that I may not have know before we were married.
- You are an amazing hard worker- whether it be just working at work, helping family, doing schoolwork or working on our projects, you work so hard and I deeply appreciate it.
- You are very loyal, caring and true to your word
- You are an incredible Dad- from the first day I was pregnant to now you are always there, loving, taking care of them and playing with them, even with your limited time, And they just love you.
- You are a giver- whether sharing your talents, your time, your conversation, you always are giving.
- You have an amazing family which I love and feel so blessed that we have the support we do from them.
- You have an amazing temperament- You never yell or raise your voice, and your slow to anger and quick to forgive and compromise and work through problems, which has been a wonderful blessing to our marriage.
- Your Smart- you seem to excel at all you do, and I know that without all the high priorities we have in our life right now you would be a 4.0 student, I'm just glad that school and grades isn't all that matter to you.
- You are so loving and comforting- You always love to cuddle, hug and kiss, something I love about you and the kids know that there dad loves them cuz' you always tell them.
- You are spiritually strong, have a testimony and are worthy of the Priesthood you hold-you show by example your testimony and you "wanted" me to stay at home and take care of our kids, even when it's been hard and alot of work for you.
- You are my best friend, emotionally, physically, mentally, in every way you are there for me and make me unbelievably happy, I am so glad that I have you.
Love you forever Yota,
Thanks for the last five years and I hope we have many more to come.
1438!

Bored, bored, bored

So I've been sick lately, which pretty much interprets into bored. I'm to weak to really do anything, my husband is the sick drill sergeant and forces me into bed all day and after a couple of days of it, I'm bored out of my mind. So I snuck out of bed and designed another birth announcement. Don't tell or else I'll be in trouble.

My little princess.
So I just realized I don't have very many posts talking about my little girl. Brynley is just so sweet, and quiet, and well behaved that Payton draws most the attention. Anyways I love it when the kids are sleeping, not only cuz' I get a little break but because I can see more clearly how special they are to me and to heavenly father. Every night before I can go to sleep I have to go and give my kids a kiss, and just look at them. Anyways this is my little princess sleeping. Isn't she just adorable.

working, playing, workin " hurah hurah"
I love it when the weather gets warm enough that we can enjoy being outside and working as a family. Payton seems to enjoy it to, he loves gardening (which I struggle with- he's my little motivator) And just anything that has to do with outside. So this Saturday we worked on just getting the weeds out of the garden and it ready for planting in a couple of weeks and we also set up the tramp. So I thought I'd post a few pics of Payton loving the Tramp. :) He always makes me smile.

Our 5 year Anniversary
So officially our anniversary isn't till the 25th but we decided to celebrate it earlier since Dave had a week break off of school. We didn't want to go and spend the money on a hotel so my parents ended up taking the kids for a couple of days and for one day we built a desk for our study (something I enjoy doing), (which worked out well cuz' the gift on the 5year anniversary is suppose to be wood- who knew ) and the second day we did Something Dave enjoys and that was playing WOW (world of warcraft) all day. It was pretty fun and unique to just us so it worked out well.
Anyways here's some pictures of our desk, I haven't finished it yet cuz' I got sick :( but the alder top I'm going to stain and the shelves in the hutch are going to be stained but the rest will be painted an off white kinda color.

Chocolate Milk!!! PLEASE!
So funniest thing happened on Saturday. We went to Walmart to get a few things and Payton loves the chocolate milk that they sell there, so we bought him a little bottle, he was ubber excited about it, so much that he wouldn't let the lady bag it,after we had paid for it he had it opened and was chugging it, by the time we were at the car he had finished the whole thing. Anyways about halfway home he starts mumbling in the backseat, "my lips poking out, mom, my lips poking out."
He had a top lip that resembled homer Simpsons, and being the oh so compassionate parents that we are we couldn't stop laughing at him. He of course didn't know whether to laugh or cry. But all in all he handled it pretty well, and he even told mommy that he wouldn't do that again.

Going-Big Boy style
My parents were going to Utah this last weekend and decided that they would like to take Payton along to play with his cousin Shelby down there. After much jumping and screaming and laughing when I told him he'd get to go down to Utah, he looked at me very seriously and asked if I would be going, or brynley, or daddy, and when I told him we weren't he got a scared look on his face and the next second it was gone. Gone was my little boy who always wanted mommy around especially on a big trip like this. Don't get me wrong I'm the mothering type that I want my kids to be very independent from me, but I still want them to want me around.
Ahh it was a sad day, he was so excited to go, Alone. After he left I seriously felt depressed for a minute, until I realized I had some time alone to get to know my sweet little girl, who got unlucky and had to come after a very forward outgoing center of attention little boy. Needless to say we all had fun, and when Payton came home, walk in the door and yelled MOMMY, I'M HOME! I thought him being a big boy isn't so bad.
