I hate gardens!

So I'm kinda having a very frustrating stressful day, and the fact that my garden is outta control with weeds urghrghah. I don't know about any body else but my allergies this year are BAD! For a month now I have had constant itchy eyes and a stuffy/runny nose. So working outside in the garden has been outta the question. All the stupid allergy medicine knocks me out 2, I took some while shopping the other day and I was pretty much ready to lay down on Walmarts floor and take a nap, luckily my mom was with us so she could drive me home. Grrrrr frustrating. I don't know why I expect myself to be perfect at everything, I wish I could just accept the fact that I can't garden, I've tried really, for 3 years now and every year it's the same thing, I guess I'm just worried about disappointing my mother in law 2. I've got issues sometimes, but don't we all? Anyways once again a post on me freaking out. lol. Well when everyone around you is either too busy to talk to you or care, or at the age where actually conversation is outta reach, you end up complaining to your blog a lot. :)

  1. I share your frustration :P Gardening is not easy for me, I have a black thumb, and mine isn't doing so well, though luckily I rarely get weeds lol. I also get seasonal allergies (only when I'm pregnant) so I've been suffering the itchy watery eyes and stuffy nose ever since it warmed up.

Sorry your weeds and allergies are out of control. Complain away :)

  2. Sorry that you have has such a rough go at the gardening. A tip that my father-in-law used was that you plant your rows far enough a part that you just rota-till(sp?) in between the rows. That is what we do so, I just worry about weeding like 2-3 times a summer and other than that I just forget about it beside watering it. Maybe next year? My hubby suffers from alergies bad too. He uses Zirtec and also takes a clariton-D. It doesn't knock him out to bad, I don't think. I hope that it all get's better for you. I sympathize with you about the mom-in-law. Mine is a perfectionist with her perfectly clean and dust free, perfectly vacuumed, perfectly decorated house. Yah- I am sure that I am a failure in her eyes:) And, I don't have a good excuss like alergies. Sorry that this is so long:)

  3. Alicia,
I just have to say that I love coming to your blog! I love that you are REAL and tell us what's really going on! I am telling you, if you saw my yard you would feel so much better. You seem like you really like beauty. Don't be hard on yourself. Wanting things perfect is a good quality, but it's good to realize that you already are pretty much perfect. Just know you are inspiring, i love seeing the art you do, and I know that someday your garden will listen to your thumbs. It might be something that's out of your control like that rough Idaho soil. :) Anyways take care, you!
