Alright what is with the private thing. It seems like more and more, and more people are going private. So if someone would be so kind as to explain this to me, Why? Obviously I know not to share too much personal information, sometimes it helps to know how people use this information against you though too, which I can't see how exactly the would use some of it against you too. ya so if you know, please share.

I have one private blog because it is a book I started writing last year and I don't want just anyone reading it (though if someone asks I let them) and because if I ever wanted to publish it (very unlikely) then many publishers would consider an open blog as self-published already. I know lots of people are very wary about providing any personal info online, even their real names but I'm not too paranoid. I still don't give my last name or city or other identifying info on my blog, but other than that I'm pretty open.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure nobody is going to stalk me, so I'm not too worried. I hate it when people make their blogs private - seriously people! If I have to sign in to read a blog, chances are I'm just not going to read it. Call me lazy. I feel a lot better now that I have that off my chest! :)
