Scrapbooking- O- Joy! :(

So Scrapbooking use to be fun, at least I thought I liked it, maybe I never did I can't remember because it's been so long, and I am so behind now. I ditched the paper scrapbooking, but I'm still called on sometimes to make cards for people so I haven't got rid of the stuff (I'm just itching to get rid of it though- I'm a little bit OCD on having things clean and organized, and that stuff just is impossible) Even digital Scrapbooking seems kinda crazy, There is no way that I'll have the time nor enjoyment out of scrapping all my pictures there is just to many. So my solution finally that I came up with is..(drumroll...) to make each year into a book- duh Ali- There's only 20 pages to fill and I can do that, and the rest I'll just burn onto a DVD slideshow. And that's it, that is all I'm doing, nothing else- If my kids complain when they're older well that sucks, I guess they'll have to live with the disappointment that I was not a perfect mom. Anyways just tonight I finished four pages for the book (note, I'm talking about the memory books you get printed off at like shutterfly of wallyworld) while Dave was once again writing papers for school. I feel bad for him, he is so sleep deprived and he seriously has to write a technical paper ever night sometimes 2, but there really isn't much I can do that I'm not already trying to do for him. :( Anyhow, tell me what you think of my pages.

  1. Cute :D I have not done a single scrapbook page for my kids. None. My mom even gave me a scrapbook before Jason was born with some layouts already made and just needs pictures, but I have not used it. I never liked scrapbooking. My plan is to just print out pictures and put them in a photo album, if my kids want a scrapbook they can make it when they are older or wait until I am old with nothing else to do lol. Of course I haven't printed out digital pics in years so I have thousands to go through (including finding the CDs and different hard drives they are all saved on. I really should get started on that one of these days :)

  2. I forgot to answer your other question to me :) I have no idea what the difference is between xml and html. I assumed what I use on my blog is html, but I could be wrong :) In my blogger layout it has the "Edit HTML" option, so I guess it is html. I have a few links in my right sidebar with html help that I've used, and I've also learned alot by looking at the page source info of blogs I like. It took a while before I could do what I've done with my blog. At first I just changed the colors and stuff like that, until I learned more. Oh, and I have no idea on picture size/load time either lol. I'm definitely no expert and I could not write a whole web page from scratch, I just learn little by little.

  4. I need to come over so that you can show me how you digitally scrap book. I think that is the way I need to go, since I haven't done anything and do think it is important. Hey I tagged you in my blog. I think you pages are gorgeous.
