Sometimes I do very stupid things.

Like making faces like these when I'm getting my picture taken- What?!
But I'm not talking about that stupid thing that I do-- :)
I'm talking about the fact that I jumped the gun on changing my blog Html and didn't open my widgets when I saved the old blog code so I have lost all of my links-- yes all of them!
Thanks to my embarrassing history ( I think I get bored a lot and just click through most the links just for fun--that's my excuse) and a lot of blog hopping I've got a lot of them but I know I'm still missing some and I would so love it it you'd leave a comment so I can find your blog and link to you again-- Really I would-
I like keeping up on stalking people :)

PS. just so you know I'm not done changing the blog yet so that's why it looks a little silly and some links don't work :)

Workin

So most days lately I've been looking similar to this-- I found a ring and it ended up being a horcrux :)
No actually I've just finally gotten some energy back and have been tackling house projects again. I've been trying to figure out some sort of small mudroom catch all center forever-- this house really doesn't have much options for that so this is what we finally came up with and built a couple of weekends ago, and I have loved it! (please ignore the hideous door our house is so still a work in progress)
I also started tackling the banister-- It use to be a hideous orange colored wood- but it's still a work in progress so I haven't removed the tape yet.
Along with the banister I decided to start tackling the doors on the main level and painting them white-- (they were also the horrible orange-- would love to just get new ones but the cost and the hassle of putting in all new doors- ugh so were gonna see if white will work)
While waiting for the paint on the doors to dry I've been stripping one of the dressers that I bought-- I love stripper-- the way it bubbles-- so fun!

And because I didn't have to much to do I decided I'd try and paint our doorknobs and see if I liked them-- they use to be the ugly brass/gold. We sanded them, got primer on them, brown paint a little black and two coats of clear top coat-- hopefully that works---
And poor Dave has been sick the last few days. Brynley decided she wanted to take her nap with dad today since he was home-- I loved watching my two sweeties sleep in my break time waiting for paint to dry
I love working on projects but man sometimes it's discouraging to have so many-- this last weekend we put up some trim around some doors and on our bar so I need to work on sanding, calking and painting those too this week-- and I have a major dilema that prolly tommorrow I'll be asking for some help with but it's to late to take pictures tonite.
Loving the journey but sometimes I can't wait for it to be done!

Halloween

I can't believe Halloween was only 2 days ago for some reason it seems like ages now to me. Anyways Brynley got to go to a Halloween Party at her Joyschool she was so excited to wear her costume and put glitter on. Payton didn't have school and was very jealous that Bryn was getting to go to school let alone a party-- I laughed about it cuz' he's always teasing Brynley that his school is bigger than a house. On Halloween we went to the wards trunk or treat carnival and they didn't allow masks which Payton was very bummed about cuz' he loved his optimus prime mask but Daddy made him feel better about it by helping paint his face like his mask.

Brynley wanted to be a fairy princess this year and the dress my mom bought for her when she was like 2 on a halloween clearance finally kinda fits this year it's still a little long but Brynley doesn't mind. She also wore the pretty wings Grandma bought her while tending her while me and dave went to hunting camp this year. Me and Bryn had lots of fun getting ready-- curling her hair and using lots of glitter-- I love having a girly girl! After the trunk or treat we came home and watched the new tinkerbell and relaxed. The kids had tons of candy so we didn't go out around the block with them. Tiki was very confused by the Holiday-- he gets so excited and barks when ever the doorbell rings and with it ringing every few min and such crazy visitors coming he didn't know quite what to think- eventually we just shut off our light cuz' his barking was driving us crazy especially when we were trying to watch the movie. Overall it was a fun night, it's fun to watch your kids get excited over getting dressed up and candy--

Carving Pumpkins

So we joined FHE with the Bastians and carved us some pumpkins Dave was of course being creative again with pumpkins(couple of yrs ago he did Master Chief) and decided he'd help Payter do an Autobots signPayton was very impressed with it and happy-- we also learned that Trish does not like Halloween or carving Pumpkins-- it was quite funny to watch actually :)I attempted to carve more of a princess pumpkin for Bryn but let's just say my artistic abilities just don't lie in carving pumpkins. It was a fun night especially taking pictures of the Done pumpkins-- Dave took this awesome one with the kids running around with glow sticks in the background. Can't wait for Halloween to be here now.

Sneak Peek for Marie

I love taking pictures of Maries kids--they are just beautiful and all have such beautiful eyes and are so well behaved that it makes it easy to get good shots of them

Can't wait to finish the rest and get them to her.

The Duck/Geese pond

So there's a small duck pond that we never knew about right in the middle of the city-- I've been meaning to go and take some pictures of Payton so we went there and had about 5min. of great lighting before the sun went behind the mountains.

Problem was I could not get Payton to do his normal smile-- *sigh so we'll have to try again later

I do love this one of Payton though that is his smile but it needed to be portrait oriented to work bummer.

of course payton could whip out a whole bunch of other faces for me-- such a little funny

General Conference

I love General Conference-- being together as a family and getting to hear the prophet is the best! One of our family traditions is to build a tent and face it towards the temple the night before conference.
Than we read the story of King Benjamin to our kids to explain why we do this crazyness :)

Payton & Brynley were big helpers in building the tent and mommy was glad that we weren't going to camp outside.

Even Tiki joined in on sleeping downstairs with us--(I'll admit I slacked and went to bed in our bed later cuz' I wasn't feeling to great)
During Conference Dave decided to look through his mission box and I had the kids coloring some quiet folder pictures for sunday. Overall it was way fun and releaxing-- we just hooked my laptop up to the big tv and streamed conference. Can't wait till the next one.

Sick, Sick, & sick of being sick

Reasons why I have disappeared:

*My body thinks that it cannot possibly function without at least 14hrs of sleep a day.
*My body is starving all day long but no food sounds in the least appetizing but if I don't feed it- it gets really really upset.
*Feeding & clothing my kids and getting them to school is all of a sudden all that I can accomplish--forget all the projects I want to do.
*My emotions are on a roller coaster from being super giddy and happy, to feeling very very low, to loving my husband so much I feel like I need him this instant, to getting very very upset with hubby when he puts a toe over on my side of the bed. I'm sure I'm tons of fun to live with right now and when I'm in the right mind I tell Dave how sorry I am and how much I really love and appreciate him.

I seriously don't remember ever being this sick with my other kids--It has got to pass soon cuz' I am going crazy here! (The moms that are in the hospital with IV's and stuff you have me in awe though-- you guys are truly amazing! I don't think my brain could handle that- I'd literally go crazy.)

Hopefully this soon will pass and I'll be back to getting things done and on a more normal emotion level until than toodleloo cuz' it's way past my bedtime it's like 9 ya know.

News

So both me and Dave are horrible at keeping exciting news a secret-- I'm just barely getting started we have clear until May but in May we'll be adding a new little head to fit in one of these to our family
Maybe a girl....

Maybe a boy....

Or if Brynley's right we'll get to twin girls :)

New wood floor

So over Labor Day weekend (which I so did not know you are suppose to actually take a break from labor-- I thought it meant to do more labor :)) My awesome Parents came to visit us and help us put in our new wood floor.
My Dad was the flooring workaholic expert and worked us till us little sissy city kids thought we we're gonna die. It was alot of fun and I love it! We still have some work to do on it but the kitchen is one step closer to my design board- *awesome :)
*(Notice who's standing ready to move on :)
and who well is umm not so ready to move on.

My Parents made a hit and run trip and came friday evening-- worked worked worked (my mom studied for her school test most the time- working) ate at Texas Roadhouse-- worked worked worked and than left Sunday afternoon-- wish we could have actually showed them the sites and stuff but maybe next time.
After my parents left it was up to me and Dave to sand and finish the floor-- but seriously my dad worked Dave to death so I did most the sanding and he did the sweeping of the sawdust-(Dave is such a good sweeper) We finished it with all the coats I think on Wednesday and I put one coat of paint on the baseboards and than when Saturday came rolling around we crashed-- I was so burned out and tired and ya soooo tired- instead we sat and ate Junior mints drank some dew and watched star wars :) such fun times. Hopefully this weekend we'll get the baseboard on though & officially call the floor finished :)
*notice the awesome work approved footwear :)
*and umm Dave sweeping-- he helped a lot and only played a little :)
Waiting for it to dry so we can do it all over again- -sand, stain-- keep the kids and dog off of it

and here's the Before and currently--lots of plans for the kitchen but it's coming along-- also if I could draw your attention to the hideous gold chandelier-- ya that thing was about tore out of the ceiling after I banged my head on it 50,000 times-- it will be the next thing replaced along with the oh so lovely maroon blinds :)

Also I forgot to mention that during all of this our disposal went out on us and was gushing water all over our new unsealed wood floor so that evening we (I mean my awesome amazing husband who seems to be able to do everything of course) replace the disposal-- so much fun.

All in all I love our new floor-- it's awesome, so smooth and pretty- It's time I go downstairs and admire it again. night everyone.

Dave calls it the hooker chair
